Mental wellbeing and resilience are top of mind for New Zealanders as we continue to emerge from the impacts of Covid. At the same time, many children are navigating challenges such as bullying, low confidence, stress, and anxiety.
The Kelly Sports Wellness Programme is designed to support students by helping them understand the important role physical activity plays in overall wellbeing. Through engaging, game-based activities, students are supported to build positive social skills while having fun and staying active.
The programme helps develop:
✓ Teamwork
✓ Empathy
✓ Communication
✓ Confidence

In addition, the programme supports teachers to re-establish healthy habits around physical activity, while empowering students to manage their wellbeing and stress/anxiety both in the classroom and at home.
The Kelly Sports Wellness Programme focuses on:
Reducing stress and anxiety through positive, healthy physical interaction
Supporting and safeguarding the wellbeing of both students and teachers
Equipping teachers with the skills and confidence to replicate activities and lessons
Helping students recognise the need for behavioural breaks and providing practical tools to manage them
Encouraging and strengthening social skills such as communication, teamwork, empathy, and confidence through game play
