Kelly Sports before and after-school programmes offer children fun, supportive one-hour sessions where they can get active and develop new skills.

Our popular after-school multi-sport programmes run once a week and are designed to develop strong foundational movement skills while building children’s confidence and enthusiasm for sport. Delivered in a fun and supportive environment, the sessions encourage participation, enjoyment, and a lifelong positive attitude towards physical activity.

For children showing strong sporting potential, our before and after-school academy programmes provide the opportunity to further refine and develop their skills. Across all programmes, participants are also introduced to important aspects of sport such as teamwork, goal-setting, and healthy lifestyle habits, including nutrition.

These programmes help children grow both on and off the field, giving them the confidence and capability to transition into local sports clubs and school teams in the future.

Our in-school curriculum programmes are designed to bring sport and physical education to life in a way that inspires, engages, and supports both students and teachers.

Built to complement the New Zealand school curriculum, these programmes deliver high-quality, structured sport experiences that are active, inclusive, and fun.

Let your children experience the excitement of Kī o Rahi while learning te reo Māori and tikanga through fun, hands-on play beyond the classroom.

Kelly Sports are excited to offer you our Kī o Rahi programme. Actively learn Pūrākau o Kī o Rahi by playing the tākaro and connecting to whakapapa a rohe.

Kī o Rahi is a traditional Māori game based on a Pūrākau or legend of Rahitutakahina and the rescue of his wife Tiarakurapakewai. The legend predates European arrival in New Zealand (pre-1870s) and the game itself has Māori tikanga, the Māori culture. For Kelly Sports, we love bringing it into schools.

The Kī o Rahi programme is available at schools as a six-week programme or a sports day. Want Kī o Rahi at your school? Get in touch with your school or your local Kelly Sports contact.

Our Preschool Programme is thoughtfully designed with preschool-aged children in mind. Kelly Sports coaches visit your early childhood centre for 1–2 hours each week, introducing fundamental movement and early sporting skills in a fun, age-appropriate way. These sessions help build children’s confidence and encourage a lifelong love of physical activity from an early age. If you are working towards your Healthy Heart Award, we are able to work alongside you to ensure you meet the planned physical activity aspect of the award.

The programme aligns with Te Whāriki: He Whāriki Mātauranga mō ngā Mokopuna o Aotearoa, supporting Mana Atua through active, holistic learning.

Sporty Shorties focuses on the development of:
